Gibson Limited Edition ES-335 Government Series – Used
This ES-335 is in Good condition, with pick scratches and belt buckle wear on front and back. No Deep finish scratches, except four small abrasions near the top of the F-Hole.
After negotiations with federal marshals following a 2011 raid on the Gibson factory regarding potentially overharvested tonewoods, the company introduced the Government series, where elements of the guitar were constructed of the wood that had been confiscated by the federal government.
This Gibson ES-335 features a set of Dirty Fingers pickups – an unlikely but complementary fit for this type of guitar. This series guitar has a slim taper neck, but still feels thicker than some of Gibson’s slim necks. 18:1 tuners, a Corian nut, and a series-exclusive pickguard round out this run of 300 ES-335s in the Government series.
