This new HD-28E is part of the reimagined Standard Series guitars, which feature Martin’s new High Performance Taper neck profile and aging toner Spruce tops. For electronics, Martin offers the choice between the Fishman Aura VT Enhance or LR Baggs Anthem systems in Standard series models.
Key features of the HD-28 include a two-piece back and side construction, unbound Ebony fingerboard, open back tuners, and scalloped forward-shifted X-bracing. The HD-28E has a bold sonic statement to make – whether unplugged or direct – and carries through the mix with the sound of Americana.Â
