Martin Custom Shop OM Size Western Red Cedar Top, African Paduak Back and Sides
A Martin Custom Shop guitar represents 187 years of unrivaled quality, craftsmanship, and tone. The sum of its parts together makes for the ultimate guitar playing experience. This Martin Custom Shop 000-14F showcases those three merits flawlessly. This 14-fret auditorium style guitar features a Western Red Cedar top. Western Red Cedar is a glorious tone wood that offers a good focus in the low end, and stays clear and bright on the top. A strip of Katalox binding sits in between the African Padauk back and sides. Using African Padauk on the back and sides allows this guitar to naturally had a loud, sustaining, glassy tone that is perfect for strumming and fingerpicking. The 000-14F’s body is complete with a style 45 rosette and certified Katalox with Sapwood bridge.
A smooth playing 25.340” scale length low oval neck is attached to the body with a certified Katalox with Sapwood fingerboard. The fingerboard has a very distinctive look from the tone woods and features long patterned diamonds and squares inlay work. A 16” radius bone nut rests at the end of the fingerboard to connect with the headstock. The headstock features Gold Grover V97-18GA tuners for smooth, easy, reliable tuning and a C.F Martin script logo to complete the look.
Every once and a while you see a guitar that is truly something special and this is no exception.
