Takamine 1977 F-400 12-String With HSC – Used
The Takamine F-400 is a “Lawsuit Era” 12-string guitar, made in Japan. Dating from 1977, it features a spruce top, rosewood back and sides, solid mahogany neck, fully bound body, and once-gold-plated open tuners that have faded with time.
This guitar shows typical signs of age and wear. There are mild dings and cracks in the top, small dings and scratches on the neck, and some scratching and small blemishes on the sides. After 44 years of 12-string tension, the top has a mild belly behind the bridge and a slight depression in front of the bridge. Currently it is set up with minimal relief and a 12th fret action of 7/64″ on the bass side and 5/64″ on the treble side. There is a “Mountain Music” sticker on the back of the headstock.
