Kramer The 84 Electric Guitar, Maple Neck/Fretboard, Radiant Red
Kramer Guitars’ The 84 is a beast of a guitar that commemorates the golden age of shred with a modern twist. With a body and headstock styled after the original Kramer Baretta, this rock machine sports a straight-positioned direct mounted Seymour Duncan pickup, Floyd Rose locking tremolo, and a single volume knob.
Built for powerful and quick playing, the ’84 sports a lightweight alder body, a solid bolt-on maple neck featuring the K-Speed SlimTaper “C” profile, and a maple fingerboard with dot inlays that offers a comfortable 12″ radius, 25.5″ scale, and 22 medium jumbo frets. Also featured on The 84 is classic Kramer “banana” style headstock with matching finish.
The 84 comes loaded with a Seymour Duncan SH-4 JB humbucker, a zebra-coil powerhouse hand-wound in Santa Barbara, CA. For over 40 years, the Alnico V JB has been the go-to pickup for classic hot-rodded tones. The JB is controlled by a single chrome knurled volume knob, which features a push/pull function for series/parallel tap.
For hardware, The 84 comes equipped with a Floyd Rose 1000 Series tremolo and Floyd Rose R2 Lock Nut, ensuring precise intonation even through the wildest of dive bombs and expressions, and of course that your tuning stays put!
An optional Kramer 940-KRSTCS hardshell case is available.
An ideal guitar for hard rock, glam, and metal guitar playing inspired by an era when speed killed and hair sprayed, Kramer Guitars The 84 is a shredder’s delight.
