Martin D-45 Modern Deluxe Acoustic Guitar, Natural Finish with Hardshell Case
The pinnacle of the Martin Dreadnought line gets the Modern Deluxe spin in the pearl adorned masterpiece featuring the best modern and vintage features. The VTS (Vintage Tone System) Sitka Spruce top has been thermally aged to cook out the sugars, effectively creating an aged top for a new guitar. This process also brings out a darker color in the top so no toner is needed in the finishing process. Hide glue construction throught ensures maximum tonal transfer. The Sitka Top as well as the East Indian Rosewood back and sides are complimented nicely by the European Flamed Maple Binding. Abalone inlay runs along the top, back, sides, rosette, and fingerboard extension. Golden Era Style 45 Snowflake inlay on the fingerboard works well with the Torch inlay on the headstock.Â
New features from the Modern Deluxe Side of the family include Martin Liquidmetal bridge pins with abalone dots, a bridge plate made from composite carbon fiber and a new asymmetrical neck shape for unparalleled comfort. Martin did an excellent job ensuring that the D-45 Modern Deluxe wasn’t different from the standard model in every way that made sense, without losing any of the key features that make a D-45 a D-45.
