Gibson SG Standard ’61 Faded Maestro Vibrola, Vintage Cherry Electric Guitar
The Gibson SG body style replaced the single cutaway Les Paul in 1961. The Gibson SG Standard ’61 Faded Maestro Vibrola combines key features of that introductory year with other well-loved SG specs and a satin finish.
The double cutaway. solid mahogany body is finished a vintage cherry satin Nitrocellulose lacquer for a classic look and played in feel. The Maestro Vibrola allows the player control the mild vibrato effect while the engraved Lyre tailpiece adds unparalleled style. Tuning stability is enhanced by the factory Graph Tech nut. Other hardware includes an ABR-1 bridge and Keystone tuners. Body scarfing is deeply sculpted for the ultimate SG look and comfort.
The bound neck is joined at the 22nd fret for total fingerboard access. The Gibson 24 ¾” scale, the SlimTaper profile, and the 1.69” nut width work in tandem to create a smooth and seamless playing experience. The rosewood fingerboard has a 12” radius and trapezoid inlays.
The uncovered 60s Burstbucker pickups with black bobbins are a visual standout while also providing higher output. Control the pickups with a 2 volume, 2 tone, 3-way toggle configuration, hand wired with Orange Drop caps.
