Walrus Audio Melee Wall Of Noise Reverb and Distortion Pedal
The team behind Walrus Audio Pedals has always been a master of melding different effects into a single pedal, and it has done it again by bringing reverb and distortion together in an extremely unique package. The Melee: Wall of Noise, a new Walrus Effects pedal is an unstoppable force of sound, simple to use, and smarter than your average multi-effect.
In this Walrus Melee Pedal, a single switch changes the order of the reverb distortion effects flow. Reverb into distortion or distortion into reverb can be done instantly. Its reverb has split personalities – three of them. By pressing the bypass and sustain footswitch at the same time, you can channel between Ambient, Octave down (if you’re a fan of their Slö Multi Texture Reverb, you’re going to love this) and Reverse reverb. The sustain switch will latch on to your signal if pressed and let go for textured pads, or if you hold it down, you’ll unlock true, endless “wall of noise” reverb trails ramping up, and back down when released. If you hold down the bypass switch, it will function in momentary mode for quick signal grabs, and will let go once you do.
Did we mention the Walrus Audio new pedal has a joystick? Joysticks are fun. “Joy” is literally part of the word, and it’s hard not to find joy in altering tones by stick-swiveling. Side to side adjusts reverb, and up and down distortion. Take things even further by adding some modulation by holding down the bypass switch and moving the decay toggle to the right at the same time, going from zero, slight, to high.
For tonal adventure seekers, the Walrus Audio Melee is the perfect towering wall of noise to climb and conquer.
