1969 Fender Bandmaster TFL 5005D 40W Amplifier Head With Footswitch – Used
The ’69 Fender Silverface TFL5005D 40w Amp head is an early example of CBS era amps. This head measures a bit taller than other Fender amp heads at just over 2 feet tall. It is 40w and gets very loud and clean, with a drippy spring reverb. It has similar circuitry to Fender’s Vibrolux and Vibroverb amplifiers, just as a head rather than a combo.
Overall this amplifier is in good condition for its age. The grill cloth cover is ripped on the left side. The reverb tank cord is functioning but may need to be replaced soon as it is looking worn.
The original power cord has been replaced with a 3-prong grounded cord.Â
