Gibson ’70s Explorer Electric Guitar, Antique Natural
The Gibson ’70s Explorer continues the enduring legacy of one of Gibson’s most daring electric guitar designs. Both 1950s and 1970s Explorers are rarer than red Smarties, but their iconic symbol in rock music especially has grounded their worldwide recognition.
This ’70s Explorer model retains classic features and dependable hardware and electronics, making it stage ready for years to come. Key build features include an all-Mahogany construction, bound rosewood fingerboard, GraphTech nut, Grover Rotomatic tuners, and a tried-and-true aluminum Nashville Tune-o-Matic bridge with stop bar tailpiece.
The Gibson ’70s Explorer comes loaded with Gibson ’70s Tribute pickups, a matching Rhythm and Treble set with double black open coils and a ripping DC resistance of 16.2k for the Rhythm pickup, and 15K for the Treble side. Wired to individual volume controls and a master tone, the ’70s Explorer also receives Orange Drop Capacitors.
Rounding out the ’70s Explorer package is a Gibson Hardshell case to keep this Excalibur safe in transit.
