The Gretsch G2420T Streamliner Hollow Body Single-Cut is equipped with a Bigsby Vibrato Tailpiece and a fully hollow arched maple body, complemented by parallel tone bars for improved tonal depth and structural reinforcement. In homage to the 1950s and ’60s, the G2420T revives a model name from that era with its single-cutaway design, nodding to iconic guitars from the 1950s and capturing the spirit of iconic Gretsch models like the G-6120, Anniversary, and Tennessee Rose.
Featuring a comfortable nato “C” shaped neck, the G2420T hosts a 12″-radius laurel fingerboard with pearloid Neo Classic thumbnail inlays and 22 medium jumbo frets. It’s also equipped with Gretsch’s own Broad’Tron BT-3S humbuckers, delivering a tone that’s characterized by stronger mids, tight but full lows, and smooth, clear highs. The traditional control layout includes neck and bridge pickup volume controls, a master tone control, and master volume control, offering simple and intuitive tone shaping. Furthering this guitar’s versatility, the G2420T boasts some unique performance features such as a push/pull pot on the master volume control for coil-splitting of the pickups. This allows players to switch to a single-coil sound, enhancing the guitar’s overall versatility.
