Reverend Double Agent OG Electric Guitar, Rosewood Fingerboard, Pearl White
The Reverend Double Agent OG is a product of Reverend’s rebellious spirit that traces its roots back to 1997 in the heart of Detroit, Michigan, under the guidance of renowned luthier Joe Naylor. The body of the Double Agent OG features a body cut from Korina, also known as Limba: a wood that Gibson first used in their guitars in the mid-1950’s, and a relative of mahogany that shares similar acoustic and tonal properties. This Double Agent OG is finished in a simple but elegant Pearl White, and also features a Bigsby vibrato tailpiece, a less usual trait for Double Agent models.
The Double Agent OG features a roasted maple neck attached using a 6-bolt configuration. This neck undergoes heat treatment at temperatures exceeding 300° to eliminate moisture, sugars, and impurities, and features a medium oval profile, with an approximate thickness of .85 at the 1st fret and .90″ at the 12th fret—slightly more thick than the neck on a typical Fender American Standard Strat or Tele. The neck is also host to a 12″ radius, rosewood fingerboard with 22 medium oval frets, measuring 0.110″ wide and 0.050″ tall.
The Double Agent OG comes equipped with a flexible pickup pairing, combining Reverend’s custom HA5 bridge humbucker and a 9A5 P90-style neck pickup. The HA5 bridge humbucker, designed in a classic style, is wound a bit hotter than its vintage counterparts, providing additional drive and punch. On the other hand, the 9A5 neck and middle pickup offer a cleaner sound compared to a vintage P90, delivering a clear and open tone. With controls for Volume, Tone, and the signature Bass Contour knob, complemented by a 3-way switch, this guitar a versatile choice for modern players.
