Kauer Gripen Electric Guitar, Verdoro Green w/MONO Gig Bag
As we get more of these Gripen models by Kauer, we find ourselves loving them more and more. This gorgeous Gripen in Verdoro Green exemplifies why forward thinking Kauer Guitars has carved a name for themselves with their nontraditional design style and combinations of spec choices.
In Kauer fashion, the body of the Gripen’s body is built using less common Spanish mahogany. The body’s shape is a marvel, featuring a gorgeous, art deco-esque design complemented by a striking black pickguard that gracefully follows its contours. This combination of wood choice and an avant-garde design sets the Kauer Gripen apart, visually.
Also constructed with Spanish mahogany, cut to a Standard C shape, the neck of the Gripen extends through the body in a neck-thru design. The fingerboard is made of Wenge, known for its durability and beautiful grain patterns, and Crown inlays specific to the Gripen model lie in between its 22 precisely Plek’d frets. The total scale length of this guitar is 24.75 inches, and Hipshot open back locking tuning machines grace its headstock.
An excellent choice for this model, Kauer opted to use Wolfetone Kauerbucker custom Humbuckers in the Gripen’s body, inspired by the original PAF pickups. A 3-way blade switching system allows players to navigate between the two of them, with slightly different sounds offered by the neck and bridge positions- furthered by two volume and one tone control knobs.
This guitar comes with a deluxe Mono gigbag.Â
