1995 Hamer Special DC Electric Guitar Natural w/ HSC – Used
This Hamer Special DC comes from the year 1995 with an all-mahogany construction. The mahogany body and neck has super tight grain with some very nice light to dark striping. The natural hue of the mahogany is very dark leaning from dark orange to brown depending the light. Hamer spec’d this model out with Seymour Duncan P-90 pickups. The bridge pickup has a rating of 11.50ohms while the neck pickup reads 11.90ohms. The neck profile is on the slimmer side but offers plenty of shoulder. It’s a very comfortable neck for a player looking to play chords or for fast crawling.
At some point in this guitar’s life, a previous owner cut out Rage Against the Machine’s 1996 hit album Evil Empire and turned it into a pickguard. The pickguard has been attached to the body with an adhesive strip.
This 1995 Hamer Special DC is in very good condition. The body shows signs of light scratches across. In between both pickups on the upper side there is a small ding dead center and a larger scratch that goes right into the wood at the waist underneath the pickguard. Right above the output jack there are a few white marks from something rubbing against the guitar. Dead center on the back of the body there are dings dents and scratches from a belt. On the edges of the fingerboard you can see some oxidation around the frets. The neck also a few small dings from the 7th-12th fret.
