Cole Clark Angel 1 Bunya Face Queensland Maple Back & Sides
Every Cole Clark guitar is built for live performance; strong, natural sounding and unique in appearance. The AN1 Angel Grand Auditorium offers upgraded appointments with all solid timbers.
We’ll start with the electronics since the Cole Clark 3-way pickup system steals the show. By blending a piezo, face sensor and microphone, every inch of the guitar is amplified with stunning natural clarity. Each transducer handles the frequency it’s best suited for. A piezo under saddle handles the low end, the face sensor handles mid range to highs and the mic takes care of super high frequencies. All with less feedback than a standard acoustic pickup.
The integral (Spanish heal) neck joint, unique bracing and body construction offer a strong instrument designed for the specific purpose of live performance. Cole Clark carves each top and back to enhance both tone and strength.
This Angel AN1 pairs a Bunya top with a Queensland Maple back and sides. Bunya is a native sustainable Australian tone wood sourced from Queensland is responsible for over half of Cole Clark’s sales. This is the top used by the majority of our long term artists. Queensland Maple is an Australian native sustainable timber sourced from Queensland and is our second biggest seller. It is no relation and has no similar sound characteristics to US Maple. It’s a neutral sounding timber like South American Mahogany with a touch more snap. Satin box fret board is visually striking and offers warm tone similar to rosewood. All Cole Clark timbers are sustainable or responsibly sourced. Deluxe hard shell case is included.
