Epiphone Joe Bonamassa Lazarus 1959 Les Paul Standard, With Hard Case And COA
In a key collaboration between blues-rock legend Joe Bonamassa and Epiphone, a legendary Les Paul Standard comes to life. Upon finding “Lazarus,” a rare 1959 Gibson Les Paul, Bonamassa’s work to revive a relic of a guitar began. After restoration, Lazarus’s gold top shone through from under a red refinish and after all these years, Lazarus plays amazingly alongside Bonamassa. This special guitar brought Bonamassa to collaborate with Epiphone to recreate it in an authentic manner.
Today’s Lazarus is inspired by Bonamassa’s original with a one-piece mahogany neck and mahogany body with a maple cap, topped with a wide-grain AAAA flame maple veneer. Outfitted with two Gibson BurstBucker pickups with ’50s style wiring, Lazarus produces crisp Gibson humbucking tones effortlessly. This recreation features a mahogany neck in a ’59 Rounded Medium C profile for smooth trips from higher to lower frets. Further features include an aged gloss finish, an Epiphone LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge and Stop Bar tailpiece.
The vintage style and legendary story behind Lazarus makes this model particularly exciting to experience. With a blues legend on the team and a truly unique guitar in hand, the legendary Lazarus comes alive yet again.
