Part of their “Inspired By Gibson” collection, the Epiphone SG Standard ’61 pays homage to year number one of this iconic instrument’s production with authentically vintage looks and some modern updates.
This SG, like its forebearers, starts with solid mahogany with all the classic SG curves and contours. The guitar is fitted with a newly redesigned 60s style Maestro Vibrola and a tune-o-matic bridge to keep things nice and in tune all the way up the neck. The mahogany neck is capped with a bound Indian laurel fretboard and features 22 Medium Jumbo frets—a combo that keeps things super fast and playable.Â
A pair of ProBucker pickups are wired with CTS electronics to keep your tone hum-free whether you’re playing clean or dialing cranking up for maximum crunch.Â
