The Fender American Performer Pine Telecaster joins Fender’s Limited Edition American Performer Timber Collection as a new way to experience classic Telecaster tonality. As a new addition to the Telecaster canon, this model drops in with a unique body wood to form the basis for a completely new Telecaster experience.
Starting out at its base and perhaps its most striking element, this American Performer’s body is formed from pine and is fitted with a satin two-color sunburst finish. For a unique choice of wood, this Tele’s pine single-cutaway figure carries with it the classic Telecaster form but with some distinct difference in feel and resonance thanks to the pine tonewood. This pine is matched with a maple neck in a speedy Modern “C” profile, outfitted for dynamic playing. A rosewood fingerboard joins the fray on this model with twenty-two Jumbo frets that feel spacious and allow for quick and easy fretting across the entire scale length. A synthetic bone nut and Fender ClassicGear tuning machines line the headstock for accessible stringing and solid intonation.
The sound of this Tele comes from two Fender Yosemite Single-Coil Telecaster pickups that produce all the classic Tele twang needed for such an experience. Roll through classic Telecaster tonality as enhanced by the choice of pine to blaze a unique single-coil trail. This is all topped off with this Telecaster’s 3-Saddle Vintage-Style Strings-Through-Body Tele bridge with brass barrel saddles, solidifying the entire playing experience and making for a complete Telecaster package from head to toe.
