Fender American Standard Stratocaster – Candy Cola – MN – Used
This Fender American Standard Stratocaster is in good condition. It has various finish chips on the back of the lower bout and two small finish chips on the front of the body.
In 2007, Fender revamped their long-running American Standard series of guitars and basses to feature a more vintage character. Notable features of the change include bent Fender-stamped saddles and vintage-tint Maple fingerboards, along with an introduction of new colors and SKB hardshell cases. This guitar, made in 2008, is finished in Candy Cola, a polyurethane finish in production only for a few years.
This American Standard Stratocaster is built around the classic combination of an Alder body and Maple neck. It features modern staggered tuners for enhanced break angle at the nut. The tighter the break angle, the greater the intonation.
It sits near evenly on the balance between vintage and modern. Each pickup position is very pronounced tonally in what would be expected from a vintage Stratocaster. It features a comfortable C-shape neck profile with rolled fingerboard edges with a light gloss lacquer. This Strat’s medium frets have plenty of life left in them for many gigs to come. It is also easy on the player, weighing in just over seven pounds.
This American Standard Strat is primed and ready for its new home and many songs to come.
