Fender Mark Hoppus Jaguar Bass Guitar, Rosewood Fingerboard, Sea Foam Green
Don’t blink, it’s the Mark, Tom and Travis show all over again with this Fender Limited Edition Mark Hoppus Jaguar Bass. Following their long-awaited reunion, Blink-182 is back in their most famous incarnation playing shows like it’s 1999. With this limited edition piece, fans have the chance to have their own version of the exact model Hoppus plays onstage during their 2024 tour. This bass is readymade as an onstage tool for one of pop punk’s staple acts. Are you feeling this?
Hoppus, historically partial to eye-catching and playable basses across Blink-182’s storied career, can be seen with guitars popping with color and sound from the ’90s to today. As a bass, this limited edition model delivers on all the sound and playability Hoppus needs for world tours. Whether pounding out a pop punk bass bullet train on songs like “The Rock Show” or rolling in a new wave composition on “I Miss You”, Hoppus plays with energy and versatility and this Jaguar matches his speed and style.
This Mark Hoppus Jaguar makes a name for itself with its alder, offset body. Shaped in a form too bold to ignore, this Jaguar is carefully contoured and easily carried across a stage. Its maple neck joins the equation in a Custom “C” profile with a satin urethane finish. Smooth to the touch and quickly played, this neck is perfectly fitted for the punky riffs Hoppus lays down across Blink’s discography. The maple neck is matched with a slab rosewood fingerboard lined with twenty Medium Jumbo frets for easy fretting. Across its body and scale length, this body is quick and form-fitting for seamless onstage performance.
The sonic experience of this Jaguar comes to life quickly with a Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound Precision Bass split single-coil pickup. This pickup plays to the melodic strengths Hoppus has shown across his career with Blink, along with being a reliable split-coil P-Bass pickup ready for anything. One Master Volume control keeps things simple and ready for action with a treble bleed circuit to retain high-end while rolling the volume back. This Jaguar goes further to ensure a strong playing experience with a 4-Saddle HiMass Vintage bridge that allows for through-body or top-load stringing. At its headstock, four Standard Open-Gear tuning machines make for quick string changes and stability past the Synthetic Bone nut. To top it all off, Fender dropped in the Mark Hoppus “Hi My Name is Mark” octopus logo on the neck plate. Moving from one gig to the next, this bass travels in an included Fender Deluxe gig bag.
As one of pop punk’s most prolific and enduring voices, Mark Hoppus relies on Fender basses for his brand of musicality. This Jaguar delivers on everything needed to leave the runway and take off in style.
