Fender Vintera II ‘70s Mustang Electric Guitar, Rosewood Fingerboard, Competition Burgundy
The Vintera II ’70s Mustang is Fender’s newest production recreation of their classic short-scale guitar. Initially introduced as a student instrument, the Mustang has since become anything but a starter’s guitar. It has a distinct sound and feel, loved by players and vintage collectors the world over. With the Vintera II series, the Mustang Guitar is built to the highest regards in Fender’s Ensenada, Mexico facility.
The base of the Vintera II Mustang is classic vintage-style Fender spec. Key features include an Alder body, Maple neck with Gloss Urethane finish, and 7.25″ radius Slab Rosewood fingerboard with 22 Vintage Tall frets. This Mustang Guitar is decked with vintage-correct hardware appointments throughout, most notably in its Vintage “F” Stamped with White Buttons and 6-Saddle Vintage-Style Mustang Tremolo.
A pair of Vintage-Style ’70s Single-Coil Mustang deliver the distinguishable sound of the Fender Mustang. Each pickup is controlled by way of a 3-way on/off selector switch. It is a simple design with a cool hidden feature – center position for off, left or right for on. Running both switches in their outside positions will run both pickups out of phase.
This Vintera II Mustang is finished in a vibrant Competition Burgundy finish. And even more exciting, a matching Competition Burgundy Vintera II Mustang Bass is available!
