Gibson 1967 Vintage Hummingbird Natural With HSC – Used
Here we have a 1967 Hummingbird in a beautiful natural finish. This guitar comes from the collection of a local session guitarist who was based out of Nashville, TN and played it in countless sessions.
This guitar is an excellent example of the classic Hummingbird and features the big changes that happened in 1965 when Gibson decided to move towards the smaller nut width of 1 9/16″ and a scale length of 25.5″, which this particular guitar features. Even with those changes this model still features the iconic engraved Hummingbird pickguard with the 2 point upper treble bout and 1 point level with bridge, adjustable bridge saddle, upper belly bridge, bound rosewood fingerboard with split double-parallelogram inlay, crown peghead inlay, pearl logo, and original gold plated single ring Kluson tuners.
Tonally, this guitar boasts the balanced EQ curve that we expect from a mahogany back/side guitar. Strong mids without any overpowering bass or treble frequencies. Hummingbirds are known for their “built-in compression” and this guitar is no exception.
This guitar comes with an early 2000s Gibson Acoustic guitar case. Black tolex with gold logo and blue interior.
