Gibson ’80s Flying V Electric Guitar, Ebony w/ Hardshell Case
This Gibson 80s Flying V is a tribute to the classic design beloved by hard rock and metal guitarists everywhere. Although Gibson originally introduced the guitar in 1958, the futuristic-looking guitar failed to catch on commercially. In the decades that followed and increasingly heavier music gained popularity, so did the appeal of the Gibson Flying V. Then the 80s rolled around and the V really hit its stride.Â
The Gibson 80s Flying V is based on the super desirable 1984 model. The neck is mahogany with a shred-ready SlimTaper profile and an Indian Rosewood fingerboard. The mahogany body is loaded with 80s Tribute humbucker pickups in the neck and bridge for that distinctive fat tone and supreme sustain associated with the models from that period.Â
There are two volume controls and a master tone, all hand-wired together with Orange Drop capacitors for ultimate sonic clarity and the aluminum Nashville tune-o-matic bridge and stop bar keep everything sturdy and in tune. Â
Ships complete with hardshell case. Sick riffs not included.
