Gibson Generation Collection G-Bird, Natural Finish, Acoustic Guitar
The Hummingbird is Gibson’s flagship square shoulder dreadnought which has been part of the line in one way or another since the 1960s. The Gibson G-Bird builds on that legacy by combining key features of the Hummingbird with the design innovations of the Gibson Generation Collection. As with all Generation Collection guitars the Gibson Player Port is front and center, offering a “second soundhole” on the upper shoulder, directed at the player. This allows the player to hear their guitar as if they were in front of it, while playing it.
Built by hand in Bozeman, Montana the G-Bird is constructed from a solid Sitka Spruce top and solid Walnut back and sides. Like the original Mahogany hummingbirds, you can expect a balanced guitar with rich low end with clear mids and highs. Performance features include the ultra-easy playing Advanced Response neck profile and the LR Baggs Element Bronze pickup system. The Grover tuning machines work with the TUSQ nut and saddle to keep your strings moving freely where they need to and staying put where they should. The end result is a remarkably tuning stable instrument. The pickguard screams Hummingbird while the Generation Collection Single Bar inlays nod to the future. The guitar is protected by a natural finish that lets all of the detail of the Spruce and Walnut shine through.
Gig bag included.
