This square shoulder Bird features a Sitka spruce top with walnut back and sides. You’ll hear rosewood-like lows and maple-esque highs thanks to the pairing of these two tonewoods, along with the traditional hand scalloped X-bracing on the inside. The Advanced Response profile on its mahogany neck is somewhere between the thinness of a SlimTaper and thickness of a more traditional vintage acoustic, so that comfort in playability lives right where it should. The walnut fingerboard features a 16″ radius, 20 standard frets and Mother of Pearl parallelogram inlays. A tusq nut, Grover tuners, and belly up bridge work in unison to keep intonation in check.
