The Gibson J-45 Studio Walnut Acoustic Guitar continues the historic tradition of Gibson’s iconic J-45 series, presenting players with a finely-crafted instrument that epitomizes Gibson craftsmanship.
The Jumbo, round-shouldered dreadnought body of the J-45 Studio Walnut showcases a Sitka Spruce top paired with a back and sides made from walnut. Multi-ply binding surrounds the perimeter of the body, and it’s topped with a simple teardop-shaped tortoiseshell pickguard. The top, featuring a natural finish, allows the light color of Sitka spruce to be juxtaposed against the darker walnut of the back and sides, creating a beautiful color contrast between all parts of the body.Â
Its neck, boasting Gibson’s Advance Response shape, is carved from utile, a less commonly used neck wood. On the neck, a walnut fingerboard is topped with 20 frets and Mother-of-Pearl Dot inlays, offering a total scale length of 24.75 inches.
Coming equipped with a Fishman Sonitone pickup system, the J-45 Studio Walnut allows amplification capabilities into its acoustic repertoire. The soundhole-mounted volume control enables convenient adjustments in a discreet manner.
