Drawing inspiration from Gibson’s Golden Era, this model recreates the Les Paul Standard, celebrated for its versatility and sound. Rooted in tradition, this guitar is still infused with modern enhancements.
In Les Paul fashion, this Ebony Standard features a solid mahogany body with plain maple top, where it draws its name from.
The neck of the Les Paul Standard ’50s Plain Top, also mahogany, features a comfortable rounded ’50s Vintage profile, and is topped with an Indian rosewood fingerboard, complete with classic trapezoid inlays and 22 medium jumbo frets, each dressed and polished by Gibson.
This Les Paul comes stocked with Gibson’s cherished Burstbucker pickups in both calibrated specifically for neck and bridge. Both loaded with Alnico 2 magnets, these pickups capture the essence of classic PAF humbuckers, and are wired to audio taper pots and Orange Drop caps, all controlled by a three-way pickup selecting blade.
This guitar is finished in a sleek gloss nitro lacquer over ebony, and comes with an included Gibson hard case.Â
