Keeley Electronics Mk3 Driver – Andy Timmons Full Range Overdrive Effect Pedal
Previously known by another name, the Keeley Electronics reintroduced Mk3 Driver Andy Timmons Full Range Overdrive offers a wide spectrum of drive options from a clean boost to a treble supercharger, and everything in between.
Built under the direction of guitarist Andy Timmons, the Mk3 Driver combines a classic blues driver circuit and features a three-control layout that allows for precise manipulation of drive, tone, and voicing, while two switches provide options for drive characteristics and tone shaping.
Its Drive toggle offers two distinct clipping options: asymmetrical silicon for a smooth, compressed drive, or dual germanium diodes for a brighter, more articulate attack. Equipped with JFET transistors, germanium diodes, and op-amp gain, the Mk3 Driver delivers a harmonically rich overdrive with exceptional clarity and dynamics, and switching between true-bypass and buffered-bypass modes is simple, thanks to the pedal’s industry-leading buffer technology with silent switching and no tone loss.
The Mk3 Driver’s tone control circuit offers two distinct voicings as well: Andy’s preferred setting for clarity and articulation, or a phat boost mode for added low-end punch. Designed, engineered, and manufactured in the USA, the Mk3 Driver reflects Keeley Electronics’ commitment to quality and craftsmanship.
