Martin 000-18 Acoustic Guitar, Sitka Spruce Top, Mahogany Back/Sides, Natural
The Martin 000-18 Acoustic Guitar is a timeless design from Martin Guitars. Handmade in Nazareth, Pennsylvania, the 000-18 presents elegance through simplicity – and of course the unmistakable tone of a Spruce top Martin auditorium style acoustic.
This guitar – pronounced “Triple O Eighteen” – is a true classic Martin guitar in every way. It begins with a solid Spruce top with Scalloped X-bracing under the hood, highlighting picking hand definition and overall note clarity. It is paired to solid mahogany back and sides, known for overall warmth and depth.
The neck, featuring Dovetail construction, receives Martin’s Modified Low Oval profile with High Performance Taper. This feature – as well as its Aging Toner top finish – is key in a series of new appointments offered on the Standard Series beginning in 2018, complementing each guitar’s vintage-inspired visual appeal and offering enhanced comfortability and playability.
Other stand out features of the Martin Standard Series 000-18 are an ebony bridge and fingerboard pairing, abalone inlays in Martin’s Old Style 18 pattern, Grover open back tuners, bone nut and saddle, and a factory standard Martin hardshell case.
A long-running favorite among fingerpickers and singer/songwriters, the 000-18 offers detailed articulation and classic voice. It floats like a butterfly – and you know the rest!
