PRS CE 24 Electric Guitar, Rosewood Fingerboard Eriza Verde w/ Gig Bag
The PRS CE 24 Electric Guitar has had a lasting popularity since its introduction in 1988. It is PRS’ flagship bolt-on design, taking flavorings from their fabled Custom 24 model while giving this guitar its own unique feature package.Â
The most stand out feature of the CE-24 is of course bolt-on construction. Bolted neck construction, as opposed to set neck – or even neck through design – offers extra pop and snappiness in the guitar’s articulation. It is neither better nor worse, given PRS’ notability for set-neck models such as the Custom 24 and Custom 22, but it is a sound all its own and absolutely worth playing for yourself.
The CE-24 begins with a Mahogany body and flame Maple top, finished in stunning Eriza Verde High Gloss Nitrocellulose lacquer. It is factory loaded with PRS’ 85/15 dual coil pickups – an uncovered pickup set with extended low and high end output designed for the 30th anniversary of PRS. It is a great choice for more modern musical applications.
The CE-24 body is paired a Maple neck, Rosewood fingerboard with 10″ radius, and PRS’ Pattern Thin neck carve, which plays for days and allows for added comfortability when playing extended runs up and down the neck. The CE-24 measures at a classic 25″ scale length.
Two key PRS signature features to the CE-24 are their Low-Mass Locking Tuners and Patented Molded Tremolo. This pairing allows for stable intonation and a fast restring – especially helpful in the middle of a gig. The tremolo is extremely comfortable under the playing hand, making palm muting and whammy bar wanging a breeze.
If you favor the sound and feel of bolt-on construction and love the 24-fret PRS classic design, look no further than the PRS CE-24.
