Walrus Audio Fundamental Series Delay Effect Pedal
The Fundamental Series pedals from Walrus Audio were created and manufactured in Oklahoma City at Walrus HQ to meet the tonal demands of professional musicians, while also being user-friendly enough to cater to beginner effects enthusiasts. Each device includes three sliders for sound customization, along with a three-way switch for mode selection. Here, we have the Walrus Audio Fundamental Series Delay.
With the Fundamentals Series Delay, you can easily take advantage of three of the most common delays all types of players prefer in their setup. The mode-selecting switch features Digital, Analog, and Reverse delay options. Digital gives you crisp and clean cut delay sounds, while Analog sends a slightly distorted delay back into your signal with plenty of depth and warmth. With the Reverse setting, reversed reverb trails get sent back into your signal, allowing for blissful ambient soundscapes, or raucous feedback generation depending on how you want to play. Utilize the Time, Feedback, and Mix slider controls to manipulate the delay’s rate, number of repeats, and wet/dry signal to your liking.
With an overall simplistic design that produces a plethora of sounds, this pedal has couple of additional “hidden” features. The bypass switch also functions as tap tempo if held down until blinking. Tap your desired tempo, and use the slide switch’s secondary control to choose between quarter note, dotted eight, or eight note delay. The pedal comes set to Trails Mode (the delay will continue to run out after the bypass is turned off) but you can simply switch this to a dry cut off by holding the stomp switch down when applying power to the pedal. The Walrus Audio Fundamental Series Delay is ready to get anyone started with their journey into delay-based effects. And if you’re already seasoned effects vet, this pedal is the perfect addition to your collection of noisemakers, always at the ready with plenty of high-quality delay sounds.Â
